Small Business

Ever tried to find a start up loan or investment capital for your innovative idea or small business?

Ever looked into venture capital or investment angels to get your business to the next level but felt you would lose control and your business direction?

Ever thought – if only I had $400k - $5million to get this business positioned internationally?

Ever heard of the Australian Small Scale Offerings Board (http://www.assob.com.au)?

ASSOB works with small to medium businesses or entrepreneurial teams with a brilliant idea, to develop their business propositions to attract investment capital. And they don’t take control of your business or its direction.

“These high-growth businesses often find it difficult to raise development capital because they are too “early-stage” or don’t fulfill the usual funding criteria for professional and institutional investors”, says ASSOB’s Managing Director Brookes McTavish. “The Australian Small Scale Offerings Board bridges this gap by offering a single platform where retail, professional and sophisticated investors can assess and contact businesses requiring capital.”

To create a forum where the ideas meet the money ASSOB and the NSW State and Regional Development are mounting the NSW Pitchfest as part of Small Business September. This event is a pitching competition for projects and businesses to communicate their investment opportunity before a judging panel drawn from a variety of financial and business backgrounds. NSW Pitchfest will be held at the Powerhouse Museum on September 15th.

To pitch your business idea or attend NSW Pitchfest – go to http://www.nswpitchfest.com.au/ Applications close 20 August – so you will have to be quick.
